Background

Prenatal diagnostics has developed a lot lately particularly because of developments within genetics. Prenatal diagnostics is a personal choice. Edda labs aim to help pregnant women and couples understand prenatal genetic diagnostics so that well informed decisions can be made.

Edda labs is run by Dr. Kristian Wright.
Dr. Wright has worked at Karolinska Univ. hospital the last 13 years.
He has worked in the pediatric emergency and neonatal intensive care unit.
He has experience from prenatal diagnostics, complex deliveries, and treatment of critically ill children with and without syndromes.
Dr. Wright got his medical training at NTNU in Trondheim,
Karolinska in Stockholm and
Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Dr. Wright has worked in many parts of the world, for instance with the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone in 2015 and with the refugee crisis in Bangladesh in 2019.

Han har bred erfaring innen fosterdiagnostikk, kompliserte fødsler og behandling av kritisk syke barn med og uten syndromer.

Dr. Wright har jobbet humanitært flere steder i verden, senest med Ebola utbruddet i Sierra Leone 2015 og med flyktninge krisen i Bangladesh 2019.
Dr. Wright etablerte Edda Labs i 2015 og står for daglig drift.

Dr. Wright vokste opp i Drammen, han er utdannet ved NTNU i Trondheim, Karolinska i Stockholm og Harvard Medical School i Boston.

Som jordmor har hennes fokus disse årene vært kvinnehelse,
graviditet og fødsel.

Jordmor Åsman
fungerer som rådgiver innen kvinnehelse spørsmål, samt spørsmål omkring gravididet og fødsel.
​
Jordmor Åsman vokste opp i Nybro. Hun har sin sykepleier og videreutdannelse som jordmor fra Lunds universitet.

Dr. Simlund sitter i Edda Labs styre og har vært med siden starten.

Dr. Simlund vokste opp i Kalmar. Hun er utdannet ved Karolinska Instituttet i Stockholm.

Han jobber i barnenevrologi virksomheten.
Dr. Sallin har lenge jobbet med medisinsk etikk i sin forskning og gjennom sitt engasjement i Svenska Läkarsällskapet.
​
Dr. Sallin fungerer som etisk rådgiver. Han fungerer også som rådgiver i medisinke spørsmål gitt dyp innsikt i barnenevrologi og syndromforståelse.
​
Dr. Sallin vokste opp i Göteborg. Han er utdannet ved Göteborgs Universitet, og Cambrigde University i England.
Dr. Sallin har pågående forskning ved Centrum for forskning och bioetik ved Uppsala universitet.
